The following roles are available to add to FounderCatalyst:
- Founder - Is a fellow founder to your company (All statutory directors should be 'Founders' in the platform). Founders will be required to sign the paperwork because they are directors and will sign the IP assignment and founder service agreement documents.
- Advisor - Is someone such as your solicitor, accountant or Corporate Finance advisor and they can help configure your funding round with you.
- Fund - Is an entity undertaking legal due diligence on your company on behalf of one or more investors.
- View-only - Is an entity viewing your funding round on behalf of one or more investors.
- Shareholder - Is an existing shareholder in your company.
What to do if you want to have someone as an Advisor and Investor?
The best approach is to use two email addresses - one as an advisor (company email address) and one as a shareholder (personal email address). Currently a person can only have a single role in our system. It's also worth considering if they need to be an advisor - an advisor role on the platform gives the advisors permission to change any setting.
What access does an Advisor have?
An Advisor has full access, the same as the Founder role. For example, they will have full access to your data room.
How to add an Advisor (ie: accountant etc.) to your account?
Head to the People menu on the left hand side and choose Add New User.
Under Level selection Advisor and enter their name and email address and that will send them an invite.
